The interactions we observe among the different species in our backyard have always interested us. Coyotes have very few fans (none, actually – poor coyotes), but the other critters, most of the time, get along. They may not be great friends but they tolerate each other.
And every now and then, we’re surprised. We’ve seen raccoons nose-to-nose with antlered bucks and skunks putting up with raccoon noses being poked into their nether regions – perhaps they secretly enjoy it? (Raccoon noses seem to be the common denominator here.)
We often see gray foxes and raccoons checking out the deer. They seem gently curious. We think it’s all very sweet, and this little video shows exactly that kind of sweet moment.
A 4-month-old fawn was lying by herself in the field and a fox came up to say “Hello. Who are you? What are you? Would you like to play?”.

We’re probably not techie enough to be able to figure how to create AI videos, but even if we were, we would never publish them on our channel. The critters here are interesting and smart and we don’t need to fake anything.
