Screech owl falling asleep: Watch the owl’s eyes

Watch this tiny screech owl, falling asleep on a branch, constrict her pupils before she closes her eyes. They shrink from huge to pin-pricks in about a second.

Another typically “owlish” peculiarity is the ability to control each eye independently, and we see that in this video, too. Owls can close one eye at a time. It’s an odd look.
