Youngsters of every species – including ours – like to play, and gray foxes are no exception. The adults are usually pretty businesslike, but the young foxes, when they’re well fed and feeling secure, sometimes overflow with energy, and sometimes we’re lucky enough to catch their hijinks on camera.
In this short video we show a couple of young gray foxes having fun. We especially enjoyed seeing their great bounding leaps as they ran through the long grass on our field. Perhaps they’d been watching show ponies on TV?
