Red-tailed hawk: Up close and personal

This Red-tailed hawk, birds flew in and perched near our Great Horned Owl nest. It stayed about an hour and a half and may have been hunting but it never went after any prey. It gave us a good view of its very soft, fluffy chest and belly feathers. In the video you will see its eyes occasionally turn opaque for a split second, which is due to it closing its thin membrane of an inner eyelid which is called a nictitating membrane
